BVBL 2017 Hall of Fame Class!

To be eligible for the BVBL Hall of Fame you must have played at least 5 seasons. Other categories include Contributors and Captains. Active players CAN be considered.

Andrew Calzone,
Player/Captain/Contributor
Lincoln Railsplitters (2008), 508 Athletics (2009-Present)
In the last decade Andrew Calzone has become almost synonomus with the BVBL. As a hardworking player, a dogged recruiter as a captain, and most importantly as a friendly face at the scorer's table. He has spent the last 8 years working as the 2nd in command to commish Leonelli. As he is moving into an adult life he is going to be just playing/captaining in the future so we felt the time was right to recognize him as a contributor. Do not overlook his contributions as a player/captain though. He has been named to the league's all Defensive team twice, and was once the North Player of the Week in a particularly loaded year. As a captain he has brought teams to the final 4 and pulled some memorable playoff upsets. Mostly though he has helped the league run with his tireless efforts, he's always willing to toss on a shirt and give a team a 5th and he's often had to diffuse goofy situations. In a long overdue honor, the newest hall of famer: Andrew Calzone...sometimes credited as Danny Suarez.

Eddie Capstick
Player
Agent Zero 2010, Flying Rhino 2011-2013, BOHICA 2014-
Eddie Capstick has literally grown up in the BVBL. In fact his first season he would miss occasional Agent Zero games because he was still playing AAU. He developed into one of the most solid and steady players in league history and he has the hardware to prove it: a three time first team all BVBL player, he was also named to to a third team all league selection- as well as being on the All Rookie Team his first year. Also when playing with Flying Rhino he was often the voice of reason in a sea of chaos. In 2014 he joined perennial league power BOHICA and it's no coincidence they have won 3 straight titles since he came over, he was the 2014 Playoff MVP. He is often willing to sacrifice his own offense for the good of the team but can get you 20 on any given night.
