BULLDOGS BRING HOME TITLE IN FIRST SEASON

Bulldogs Run Away With Final 68-49Finals:
Bulldogs 68, Leftover Lasagna 49
Finals MVP Collin London (14) sparked an 11-0 run midway through the first half and the Bulldogs never looked back as they claimed their first BVBL title in their first year of existance. Maurice Horton (13), Zach Valliere (17) and Josh Wells (8) gave the Bulldogs a tough inside out punch and the Leftover Lasagna offense sputtered after playing tremendously in the semis. They should commended for their 4th straight trip to the finals- Zach Valliere claims his 4th ring, the rest of the Bulldogs claim their first in BVBL play. Who will be back to take it in 2020? Only time will tell. Kamahl Walker was named playoff MVP for his efforts throughout the playoff tournament.

Bulldogs Scoring:
Zach Valliere 17
Collin London 14
Maurice Horton 13
Josh Wells 8
Dan Koen 7
Kamahl Walker 5
Dan Schweitzer 2

Leftover Scoring:
Matt Labove 8
Eric Gugliellmelo 8
EJ Bradley 8
Brian Conrad 8
Eddie Capstick 7
Dom Mastascusa 5
Chad Labove 5

Semis:
Bulldogs 74, Bedroom Bullies 71
It took a late game Maurice Horton steal to ice this one as the Bedroom Bullies Cinderella attempt came up just short. Justin Brilliant had 15 for the Bullies and Nick Redden added 13, but it was not enough to overcome Kamahl Walker and his 38 points. a massive performance to get the Bulldogs to the final. Collin London added 15.

Leftover Lasagna 71, BOHICA 65
Eric Gugliellmello had 22 as Leftover held off BOHICA in the second half. Eddie Capstick had 19 as well. This marks a 3 year championship drought for BOHCIA the longest in their proud history, but the efforts of Nate Stitchell (16) and Andreas Kontaplidis (14) kept them, imn it as did as a strong second half from Sam Longwell (12). BOHICA will surly reload for the 2020 campaign.

August 11 Results

Regular Season:
Bullodgs 75, BOHICA 70
The game was not as close as the score indicated as the Bulldogs controlled the action throughout and locked up the 1 seed. Kamahl Walker had 16 and Josh Wells had 13 in the win. BOHICA got 22 from Sam Longwell and 18 from Bobby Perette.

Playoffs:
Bedroom Bullies 59, OOSB 56 TRIPLE OVERTIME
WHAT. A. GAME Andrew Carroll (13) and Ryan Hill (16) lead OOSB out of the gate strong. Justin Brilliant helped keep it close in the first half for Bullies. At the end of regulation Chris Hill hit 2 huge free throws to put OOSB up 3, but Mike Aiello (15) drilled a ridiculous constested 27 footer to force OT. After 2 even OT periods, we went to the never before seen triple OT first to 3 walk off overtime. Rudy Mellone (26) hit a wing three to walk off with the victory and head for the semis.

Leftover Lasagna 67, SonsofRickGrady 54
Eddie Capstick (29) and Eric Guglielmello (27) got buckets whenever it got close. Leftover returns to the final 4 for the 6th straight year. Bill Everson had 14 for the Sons.

Rimjobs 67, Balkstome 57
Tyler Serafin had 17 for Balkstome but the Rimjobs held on to win the 8-9 play in game. Connor Brown had 26 and Nate Manz chipped in 20 as they held off a furious Balkstome run.

Bulldogs 77, Rimjobs 75
A classic in the 1-8 game as the Rimjobs almost pulled a historic upset. Josh Wells (21) and Mike Rubin (11) would lead the Bulldogs, but a furious Bulldogs comeback spearheaded by Nate Manz with 24 and Connor Brown with 18 fell just short. A Tyler Miller 25 footer went long as the game ended and the Bulldogs advanced to the finals.

BOHICA 69, Misty Geebs 54
2 Seeded BOHICA put away pesky Misty Geebs down the homestretch. Sam Longwell had 17 and Joe Noviello added 14 in the win. The Geebs got 12 from Kev Bresciani.

Players of the Week:

Josh Wells, Bulldogs, High energy, high production in 2 wins.

Jimmy Cafferty, Rimjobs, Played 40 minutes and scored 0 points but played an entire game with a  SEPERATED SHOULDER to give his team 5 players. Cut, defended, even grabbed a few loose balls. Awesome performance to get his team a win.

Ryan Mellone, Bedroom Bullies, 26 and a walk off winner.
