Playoff Results/Pairings

August 13 Results
Youngbloodz 50, Wisniewski Warriors 49
A back and forth game of the highest order. Youngbloodz started the game on an 8-0 run, but the Warriors came storming back. Dave Zielinski had a huge game shooting the ball with 16 points as the Warriors took a late lead, but Dan Main (16 points) got a tip in with 3 seconds to go to bring the Youngbloodz back to the finals for the third time in four years where they will face....

Leftover Lasagna 68, BOHICA 58
Leftover knocks off the 3 time champs with clutch playmaking, inside presence, and a solid gameplan. BOHICA didn't have their normal shooting night, however Sam Longwell (20) kept them in it. Leftover got 21 each from Dom Mastascusta and Eric Guglielmello and 20 from Matt Labove to get back to the finals for the 2nd time in a row. 



August 6 results
Playoffs:
(3) Youngbloodz 74, (11) Rimjobs 61
The Rimjobs made it a game for about 30 minutes but the Youngbloodz second hafl 14-3 run put the game away. Nate Manz (14), Tyler Davern (14), and Dan Lanoue (19) form a strong nucleus moving forward. The Bloodz got 26 from Dan Main and 19 from Jeremy Bacon and advance to the semi finals for the 4th straight year. 

(2) Wisniewski Warriors 75, (10) Birdmen 58
Dave Zielinski (25 points) and Aaron Todd (15) were the offensive standouts as the Wisniewski Warriors advanced to the final 4 in their first year in the league. The Birdmen didn't go quietly with Jay Snow (18) and Jeremy Bridge (13) keeping them in it throughout. 

(1) BOHICA 97, (9) Whitewater 57
Next man up. With injury and attendance issues abound BOHICA got it going from deep early and often against Whitewater. Derek Retos (28 points) hit 8 threes, while Ryan Cain (20) and Sam Longwell (25) also dialed long distance a number of times. Whitewater was lead by Andrew Musler with 14 in the defeat. 

(4) Leftover Lasagna 62, (5) 508 Athletics 60
A great game in the nightcap as 508 Athletics stormed back from a 10 point deficit under 2 minutes and a great look at the buzzer that went begging. Leftover was lead by their floor general Eric Guglielmello with 17 and Dom Mastascusta with 20. Bobby Perrette had 23 for 508, but it was Will Michalski (10) who buried back to back 3s late to bring 508 to the edge of an upset. Great game.

Dave Zielsinski, Wisniewski Warriors, 25 and didn't hit the rim much. 

FLINT MICHIGAN MEGA BOWL:

Pro Am 86, Austin Amigos 83
In the finest mega bowl ever played. Pro Am held on for the victory over the Amigos. John Jango (33 points) and Joey Mespelli (30 points) shouldered the offensive load for the Amigos. While Tony Becceril (28 points) was the difference maker for the Pro Am crew and earned the Mega Bowl MVP.



July 30 results

(11) Rimjobs 63, (6) Classic Barbershop 53
Nate Manz (26 points) lead the charge for The Rimjobs and Corey Gomes added 11 as The Rimjobs avenged an earlier season loss to Classic Barbershop. The 'Shop got 16 from Jose Morales and 14 in Pat Luckett and conclude their sucessful first season in the league.

(3) Youngbloodz 85, (14) Madmen 61
Dan Main (31) and Evan Lerner (21) where the offensive standouts as the Youngbloodz punched their ticket to the quarters. Jay Gosselin capped a tremendous season with 32 points in the defeat.

(2) Wisniewski Warriors 73, (15) Classic Tile 28
Somewhere Dave Zielinski just scored another bucket. He had 32. Aaron Todd chipped in 16 and the Wisniewski Warriors sailed on into the quarters. James D'urso had 14 in defeat.

(5) 508 Athletics 62, (12) Big Baller Brand (46)
Chris Tully had 19 for Big Baller who conclude their first season in the league. 508 got 23 from Bobby Perrette and 20 from Mike Rapoza as they advance to the quarters. 

(4) Leftover Lasagna 87, (13) Bedroom Bullies 59    
Mike Aiello (23) and the Bullies kept it close early, but the inside (Matt Labove 36 points) and outside (Eric Guglielmello 19 points) attack for Leftover sealed the day. 

(16) Sutton 57, (17) Sterling Associates 47
Tony Frioli (26 points) and Nick Micalek (14) lead Sutton to victory in the playin game. Sam Duradola had 13 in defeat for Sterling.

(1) BOHICA 91, (16) Sutton 71
Sutton came right off a play in victory to hang in with the defending champs for much of the game. Tommy Mooney had 24 and Nick Micalek 23 in defeat. BOHICA had a very balanced attack with Ryan Sheehan (15), Joe McCann (17), Tyler Hundley (15), Ryan Cain (16) and Colin Richey (15) and Zach Valliere (13) scoring it. 

(9) Whitewater 69, (8) BUCS 59
Zach Sweat (20) and Andrew Musler (12) lead the charge for Whitewater as they advanced to the quarters. The BUCS got 16 from Jordan Johnson and 15 from Kyle McKissick. 

(10) Birdmen 59, (7) Misty Geebs 57
Undisputed game of the night. The Birdmen got out to as much as a 16 point lead behind the shooting of Sam Fanfan (18) and the scoring of Jay Snow (14). But in the second half Misty Geebs came all the way back behind the play of Kevin Bresciani (11) and the interior finishing of Ben Reifarth (16). Geebs took a lead late, but 2 turnover under a minute paved the way for a Jay Snow free throw with a scored tied with 3 seconds to go, it missed front rim but Collin London (20) retrieved it and put it back as time expired to give the Birdmen the win.    

Playoff Players of the Week:

Zach Sweat, Whitewater 20 points in a hard fought W in the always tough 8-9 game


Collin London, Birdmen, 20 and a buzzer beater in the game of the night!

Nate Manz, Rimjobs A big time 26 point performance in an upset win for the Rim Jobs.
